First Floor Office and Laboratory Refurbishment
Wilkinson Cowan Partnership provided Quantity Surveying and Clerk of Works services to Medicines Discovery Catapult to assist with the strip out and refurbishment of existing first floor office and laboratory space at Alderley Park, Alderley Edge. The strip out works consisted of demolishing existing office and laboratory space and de-commissioning of existing services. The laboratory fit-out works consist of new laboratories that are were fitted out to a Category C standard with close control areas for mass spectrometer and microscopy laboratories. The office refurbishment works consisted of creating open plan working areas with exposed services and LED lighting carefully integrated with acoustic ceiling rafts, meeting rooms, kitchen and break-out areas to allow employees to interact and collaborate within one another in a more informal and relaxed environment.
